When this group completed their school work before their classmates they always choose to do the right thing. They help classmates with school work, are reading through the class library, writing in their journals, and have started something special in their class. Together they create, edit, and publish their weekly class newsletter. They have expanded their paper, adding photos and an interview of a staff member, joke of the week, and a class survey including the data and graph in the paper. They are finding their way to make a difference in their education and in their class.
It is absolutely true that giving back and being a part of Do The Right Thing’s work will not only improve the lives of so many but bring you a sense of unparalleled satisfaction. Making our world a better place starts with small steps, just like they took, that evolve into profound transformation.

People in our community giving back, like Keshon here, makes a difference! Keshon gave up his spring break to help in his community. He woke up early every morning, volunteering at the St. Louis County Police Athletic League's "Spring Break Camp" for elementary students in the Riverview Gardens School District. He stepped up to the challenge, mentoring, feeding, and entertaining 8-12 year olds as they enjoyed a full day of team sports, movies, and lunch. He had the most positive attitude and was an excellent role model for the young campers! Keshon is making an immediate positive impact and making our community a better place!
Our organization always appreciates the generosity and involvement of people like you, Stepping up and "Giving" financially moves us closer to our goal. All money raised during GiveSTLDay goes directly into recognizing the children in our community. Certificates, t-shirts, pencils, other fun goodies for each and every kid nominated comes from donations made by supporters like you!. Even when they said not to
When Zane was spending time with his grandmother, she became sick. Zane thought he should get her some help, but she insisted it would pass and to not bother anyone. Zane was worried about how ill his grandmother was and reached out to his dad anyway. It was a good thing he did. Her condition was life threatening and because of Zane's expressed concern his father was able to get her the medical attention she desperately needed. Zane was brave, used critical thinking, and communicate the critical situation when asking his father to come home from work.

While some of our kiddos are life savers, some make a complete turn in their behavior or actions, and some are a joy to have around like Nova here, Nova moved to a new school, warmed into the flow of her classroom, and is blossoming before her teachers eyes into the amazing young lady she is. She is polite, respectful, and always willing to help another friend in her class. Her smile and friendship has been a wonderful addition to her classroom.
