Vincent was nominated by Wendy Lampe and Katie Eckert, who shared this with us, “Vincent Adams is a perfect example of hard work and perseverance. No matter what challenges come his way he faces them head on and with a smile on his face. Vincent has worked to gain so many skills academically and socially, but most importantly he has gained self-control, confidence, and determination. He tackles his schoolwork head-on and works through the difficulties. He is learning to appreciate his classmates and will cheer them on when they succeed as well. Vincent is handling disappointments in a positive way, thinking through his choices and making sure that he makes the best choice with his actions. He is flexible with his schedule and is always willing to put forth his best effort, even when his day sometimes starts with therapy before school even begins. Vincent is a prime candidate for Do the Right Thing because he is powering through some of the old choices that he used to make and changing his mindset to choose to Do the Right Thing instead. Way to go, Vincent! Douglas School sees you and we are VERY proud of you!”   Wow that is amazing!
